Weird "new world" artwork from the 2013 calendar
by cedars inmy mother-in-law has a strange obsession with calendars, and orders the society's calendar each year.
this year's calendar is especially weird.
it features images depicting future events - in particular, the society's vision of the new world order.. i've taken the opportunity to scan some of the images for you all to check out.. please note - there are captions for each of the images, but i don't have the english language version of the calendar so i'd rather just quote the scripture used so as not to reveal which country i'm in.. .

The Water Babies by Charles Kingsley comes to mind when I see the kids swimming under water without aqua lungs does this mean the Watchtower Org. is trying to appear child friendly as part of damage limitation and to deflect criticism when they start the big pay out to harmed children ?

These oooooh you do look heavenly ! creatures are based on the myth of Centaurs a cross between a horse and a man but these depicted are crossed between a man and an albatross or albamantross known to haunt the minds of governing body members in the wee small hours of the morning when they are trying hard to go sleep when worrying about whether their upstate retirement home will be ready before the 100th anniversary of the end of WW1.

It's fruit and nutcase picture it should have a caption that reads FLASH GORDAN DIRECTS THE WATCHTOWER ORGANISATION.
It just does not look like a picture produced by a well balanced intelligent person it gives the impression that a nutty commercial book publishing company is controlled by aliens with tons of old follicles around the face.
The only thing thats right about the picture is the commercialistic aspect of the book sellers.
It also makes me want to shout "GORDAN'S ALIVE "

CO Disfellowshipped in UK
by konceptual99 inso, i have it on very good authority that a co has recently been disfellowshipped in the uk.
he has just finished serving the north west london area.
i don't know any details but perhaps there is someone who does know what happened.

Hi Tim,
Yes I saw him in a book shop one time probably doing some research.
There used to be another charismatic overseer DO or Co can't remember which I think he was originally from Germany he had a slight accent and he gave a talk at our hall I remember him saying " there are many in here who will not make it through Armageddon because they are not putting enough time in going from door" this made a lot of people shuffle about in their chairs which I can laugh about now. That statement of his set more doubts in my mind I kept asking myself by what authority can he say this . It was more like a company sales pep talk .
Wish I could remember his name his wife was tall very slim and well dressed and serious with it. It was considered a great honour and privilege if they stayed in your house while they were in the area. Wish I could remember his name.

Hi Tim Hooper,
I remember being told of Turnbull being disfellowshipped way back in the Swinging Sixties I can't remember the reason for it I had a feeling it was for apostasy but it could have been as you say . I also heard later that he was back in the fold which surprised me at the time which makes me think he questioned the Org's doctrines.
I remember he was something of a charismatic speaker and gave good talks when I saw him in Lancashire UK. It was a shock at the time when I heard of his being made personna non gratis because I was young and gullible way back then but it eventually had a positive effect on me by making me start to realise that the Witness religion was just a cult and not as super duper as they like to make out.
I can picture him in my mind now he was a bit stocky and wore glasses in a suit and tie but they all had suits, I had a feeling he was from the Manchester area .
